Instructions for speakers at the event

Pitch presentations and elevator speeches are a unique opportunity to introduce yourself, your company, your idea, or your project.

Our goal is to ensure equal conditions for all speakers, effectively use the available time, and provide participants with high-quality information your work.

The number of pitch slots is limited. Pitches will generally be reserved for early applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. We also aim to have balanced number of speakears between domains.

Applications for pitch and elevator presentations are only accepted via the event registration form. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Indicate in the registration form if you would like to give a pitch presentation or elevator speech.
  2. Wait for our decision. If a slot is available, you will receive a confirmation email no later than seven (7) days before the event.

You are free to choose the content of your presentation or speech. As our focus is on building long-term relationships, we kindly ask speekers to avoid presentations or speeches that are purely sales-focused.

Please carefully read and follow these guidelines. We want to ensure that all presentations run smoothly.

If you have a specific request outside of these guidelines, please let us know and we will see if we can help.

General guidelines for pitch Link to heading

  • Presentation can be given in English (preferred) or German (Hochdeutsch). Most participants have a fairly decent knowledge and understanding of both languages.
  • Please stick to the maximum duration of four (4) minutes. There will be a stopwatch in the corner to help you track your time.
  • We recommend preparing up to six (6) slides.
  • We cannot play videos or reproduce sounds.
  • We cannot run PowerPoint slides (animated slides). Convert your presentation to PDF format. Other formats (such as PowerPoint, Google Slides) cannot be played.

  • Name the file using the following format: lastname_firstname.pdf.
  • Please upload the completed presentation:
    • using the following Link or alternatively send it to us by email.
  • Please upload the completed presentation no later than 24 hours before the event.
  • On the day of the event, it will not be possible to transfer files on-site.

Instructions for elevator pitch Link to heading

Elevator speech is a short oral presentation without slides that has maximum 1 minute duration.

It aims to give participants the opportunity to quickly present the most important thing they see for collaboration.

Instructions for keynote speakers Link to heading

All guidelines for pitch are valid for keynote speakers.

The only exception is that they have maximally 8 minutes.

Please come to the speakers’ area, where our technical team will assist you with the microphone.
