What is the main goal of the AEC&I Evening?
Make a warm, joyful and productive atmosphere for people to personally talk.
What are the future plans?
We work to become the leading small-format cross-domain networking event for architecture, construction, real estate and investment industries.

From which sectors will the guests come?
Construction Industry (NOGA Codes 411, 412, 429): General contractors, specialized construction companies, and firms involved in infrastructure projects, such as road construction and civil engineering.
Architecture and Urban Planning (NOGA Code 7111): Architecture firms as well as urban planning and engineering offices responsible for the development of construction projects and urban infrastructure. Real Estate Services (NOGA Codes 6831, 6832): Real estate agencies, property management companies, and organizations involved in the buying, selling, and renting of land and properties.
Environmental Consulting (NOGA Code 7490): Consultants and companies offering services in environmental management, conservation, and sustainable resource use.
Public Administration (NOGA Code 8411): Public institutions and authorities responsible for urban planning, infrastructure maintenance, and the management of public projects.
Will I know who is coming?
Yes, 48 hours before the event, you will receive a link containing the names of all the guests.
Do you already have a list of participants?
The list of participants cannot be shared unless you are attending the event.
Which sectors will be represented at the event?
The event is cross-domain. Participants come from various industries, mainly architecture, civil engineering, real-estate and investment. There will be a strong presence of executives from Swiss companies.
How many guests will there be?
Between 40 and 80.
Can I invite someone from my professional network?
Please inform us in advance about anyone you wish to invite, so that we can prepare a personal invitation for them. This helps us ensure the optimal balance of participants.
Can I bring a colleague as a guest?
Yes, but each guest must be registered.

How can I register for the event?
Is the registration fee refundable?
Yes, the registration fee is refundable until 48 hours before the event.
What exactly is included in the registration fee, aside from the networking program?
Food, drinks, service, and restaurant reservation.
What are the benefits of early bird registration compared to regular or last-minute registration?
Early bird registration guarantees you a reserved spot and a discounted price.
Can I change my registration details or ticket type after registering?
Yes, please contact us.
Can I bring an unregistered guest?
No.
What happens if I register but can no longer attend?
Let us know as soon as possible. We will refund you the full amount.

Do all participants need to pay the participation fee?
Yes. All participants must pay the participation fee, regardless of whether they are presenting or attending as guests.
Who does not have to pay the participation fee?
Keynote speakers.
What is included in the participation fee?
The fee includes participation in the full evening networking program, pitch or elevator pitch (if there are free slots), a flying dinner/apero with multiple courses, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks until 22:00.
How can the participation fee be paid?
The participation fee can be paid using one of the following methods: (+) using the Swiss QR payment code or by invoice, or (+) TWINT.
Can companies receive an invoice?
Yes! After payment, please send us your company information, and we will send you an invoice.
Can companies receive an invoice before making the payment?
Yes, if your company requires it, an invoice will be issued prior to payment.

What is the specific program for the evening?
We will send you all detailed instructions via email after you register.
What is the "thematic" type of networking and how does it work?
In thematic networking, participants are grouped based on shared interests, professional fields (domain), or experience levels.

What are the benefits of participating in the pitch presentations aside from standard networking?
Participating in the pitch presentations offers an opportunity to strengthen your personal or business brand and to present your current projects to a relevant audience.
How do I apply for a pitch presentation?
Through the application form.
How long do the pitch presentations last?
Pitch presentations last maximally 4 minutes per presenter.
Is there an opportunity for feedback after a pitch presentation?
If a presentation finishes exactly within 4 minutes, guests will have an opportunity to ask 2 questions.

Can I use public transportation to get to the event?
Yes. Buses 31, 32, 69, and 80 go to the ETH Hönggerberg Campus.

What dress code is expected for the event?
No rules, but the majority of guests will come in business casual.
Will the event be held in English or German, or both?
The program of the event is bilingual. The main language is English, but guests can freely use German, or other language in private talks.
Is there a virtual option for those who cannot attend in person?
No.
