Guidelines for the event
Welcome to an event where everyone has an equal opportunity to present their work and build valuable business connections!
- Our programme starts at 18:00. Please arrive between 17:30 and 18:00.
- Please bring business cards.
- You can speak in English or German, whichever you prefer. Name badges will indicate the languages that the other speakers can speak.
- Prepare a short introduction about yourself and your work. It can be very useful during 1-on-1 icebreaker exchange.
- Make sure you know two table numbers:
- A: Industry/Domain Discussion
- B: Expert-Level Exchange Discussion.
- At the beginning of the evening, please take your seat at the table assigned for A: Industry Discussion.
- Photographs, video recording, and audio recording may be taken during the event. These materials may be used by the organizers for documentation, reporting, communication, and promotional purposes, including the event website, social media channels, newsletters, and post-events reports. If you do not consent, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure you are not identifiable in published materials.
- If you would like the opportunity to give a spontaneous 1-minute elevator pitch presentation, please sign up at the event desk.
- If you would like to get to know someone during the evening but haven’t had the chance yet, feel free to reach out to us!
- If you mention our event on social media, we would appreciate it if you use the hashtag #aeci.
Instruction for 1-on-1 icebreaker Link to heading
During the first 30 minutes of the event, you will have the opportunity to meet seven to eight new people in the one-to-one icebreaker session. During this part, two circles will be formed: an inner circle and an outer circle. Please randomly stand either in inner or in outer circle. If you are in outer circle move for one place clockwise every 180 seconds to switch speaking partner.
